(Irvine, CA) — Use your experience in architecting, constructing and maintaining a build system to help automate and streamline the release process. Primary Responsibilities:
- Expand, streamline and maintain a scalable build and release process for line of software products.
- Create custom setup applications using the Windows Installer SDK and other technologies.
- Maintain build and component library.
- Assist in establishing and implementing configuration management program, policies and procedures.
- Discover, document and verify fixes to software defects.
Job Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Installer SDK.
- Minimum of three years experience with automated build systems on Microsoft Windows platform.
- In depth understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio (VS6 / VS.Net).
- Understanding of Microsoft Source Safe and other version control software.
- Understanding of Wise for Windows Installer and Wise Installation System.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Highly Desired:
- Software testing, network administration or network security experience.
- Knowledge of Visual Build.
- Knowledge of Rational Clearcase, Merant/PVCS Tracker, or other common defect tracking system.
- Familiarity with security marketplace and user's needs.
- Visual Basic or C++ programming experience.
- Experience with VB/COM integration to major build/change management tools.
