eEye's Board of Directors bring vast experience in the IT Market with in-depth knowledge in the Internet Security arena. The Board includes members from three highly respected venture capital firms: Bessemer Venture Partners, Insight Venture Partners and OpenView Partners.
Scott Maxwell
Scott Maxwell is the founder and Senior Managing Director of OpenView Venture Partners. Prior to founding OpenView, Scott was a Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners, having joined Insight in 2000 as the Chief Operating Officer. At Insight, Scott led the effort to institutionalize the investment process, outbound program, value add program, and finance, legal, and administration departments. Post institutionalizing the investment strategy and infrastructure, Scott started leading deal work in 2001 and was the partner responsible for investing in eight Insight investments. Scott was previously a Partner at Putnam Investments, where he was Managing Director, Corporate Development. Before joining Putnam, Scott was a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers, where he was the Chief Financial Officer of the Global Equity Division and a member of the Global Equities Executive Committee. Prior to Lehman, he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company from 1990 to 1994.
Jeremy Levine
Jeremy is a Principal with Bessemer Venture Partners in Massachusetts. He focuses primarily on software and services investments. Prior to joining BVP in 2001, Jeremy was Vice President of Operations at Dash, an Internet software publisher. Jeremy joined Dash from AEA Investors, a private equity firm with an expertise in leveraged and management buyouts, where he specialized in consumer products, specialty chemicals, and light industrials in the U.S. and in Europe. Earlier, he was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company, helping Fortune 500 financial services and consumer products companies address challenges in strategy and technology. Jeremy graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Computer Science and Economics.
Firas Bushnaq
Mr. Bushnaq co-founded eEye Digital Security in 1998 after the successful establishment of two previous software development companies: WinWare and Avataro. Mr. Bushnaq utilized his knowledge in software development as well as his experience working as a Senior Engineer and Technical Director for Berkeley Systems to develop the technical foundation for eEye's security offerings. Additionally, Mr. Bushnaq was a contributing author to Inside the Minds: Security Matters, which discusses strategic approaches for establishing, protecting and ensuring security. Mr. Bushnaq has a BS in Computer Science and a Masters in Software Engineering from National University in Los Angeles.
Kamal Arafeh
Mr. Arafeh joined eEye Digital Security in 2006 as Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales & Marketing and now serves as the company's CEO. Mr. Arafeh brings more than 18 years of success in developing markets, building partnerships and growing sales revenue. Mr. Arafeh was most recently Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Americas and Asia Pacific at Astaro, a fast growing Internet Security developer where he was responsible for over 100% annual revenue growth in both regions. Mr. Arafeh has a proven track record in executive sales management at a number of technology organizations including, Vice President of WW Sales at Vernier Networks, General Manager of Enterprise Products at Roxio where he successfully led the digital media software provider into the enterprise space resulting in Roxio's GoBack product acquisition by Symantec in 2003. During his 4 year tenure at McAfee/Network Associates, he grew McAfee's channel sales operations by 200% annually.
